Comprehensive School Counseling Program

DIRECT SERVICES

Classroom Curriculum 

The counselor will offer bi-weekly classroom lessons on age-appropriate topics, including 1) Social/Emotional Development, 2) Academic Development and 3) Career Development.  

Individual Student Planning 

The counselor will assist students in planning, monitoring, and managing their social/emotional, academic, and career development. 

Responsive Services 

The counselor will address the immediate needs and concerns of students, including school-related and academic concerns, abuse, family issues, and stress. They will offer individual counseling, group counseling, crisis intervention, consultation, and referral.

INDIRECT SERVICES

System Support 

The counselor will collaborate with staff, administration, teachers, and parents to support, develop, and grow the school counseling program. This includes community support and school improvement planning.

Preschool & K-2nd grade

Group & Individual Counseling

Small Group Counseling

Small groups will meet weekly to focus on anxiety, life skills, social skills, and other mental health topics based on requests from parents and staff. 

Individual Counseling

Individual, as-needed, counseling sessions will be offered to students. If further counseling is necessary, a referral to a school-based therapist may be a possibility.
